Your Precious Code Is Just a Tool, Chill Out

April 8, 2025

Lately, I’ve seen tech—front-end, back-end, languages, JS frameworks, cloud infra—as just a tool to deliver results, not some sacred art.

For years, though, I’d argue over the “best” stack, caught up in those endless debates.

But after all, results for whom?

  • Users: simple solutions, useful product, good experience—happy users.
  • Company: efficient code, lower costs, higher quality—solid revenue.
  • Team: clean systems, fewer bugs—productive, satisfied engineers.

Lose one, and it all crumbles.

  • Unhappy team? Bugs, delays, high turnover, costs soar—users and company hurt.
  • Unhappy users? Churn spikes, revenue tanks, team morale dips.
  • Unhappy company? Budget shrinks, cuts hit, less investment—everyone loses.

None outweighs the others.

This hit me hard, and it sounds simple, but it was heavy. My ego was a bit bruised, and now I always try to remind myself how any idea or decision I make can benefit these three.

That’s it.
